The future looks bright for the Derby and District branch of the RSPCA after two Derby companies joined forces to create an innovative new website and online marketing tool for the charity.
Pride Park-based KISS Design and Silver Pride Software have created the design and content management system for the new website, which will enable the team on Abbey Street to give its supporters all the latest news on the animals that need rehoming and enable them to receive online donations.
KISS Design, which provides branding and graphic design services, carried out the graphic and web design for the project free of charge, whilst Silver Pride Software has donated and installed its innovative Spark Builder and E-commerce tools.
Working within the RSPCA’s brand guidelines, KISS Design has created a vibrant, user-friendly site, which is easy to navigate, whilst Silver Pride’s unique content management system (SPARK Builder) will allow the RSPCA team to update the site regularly with news and events - as well as enabling them to upload animals’ details as soon as they arrive at the centre.
The Spark software will also enable supporters to make donations via the website and there are also plans to launch an online shop.
Commenting on the new website, centre manager, Debbie Peck, said:
“We are absolutely thrilled with the design of the website and having the content management system will make it so much easier to look after it ourselves. The Spark builder is as easy to use as programmes such as Microsoft Word, so even people who aren’t computer savvy will find it simple to use.
“I would like to thank KISS Design and Silver Pride for donating their time and their services to the centre and look forward to expanding the site with their help in the future.”
Donna Hill, director of KISS Design added:
“KISS Design and our sister company BH PR have been helping the Derby and District RSPCA with their PR and design for over a year now and are delighted with the finished website.
Benjamin Benn, director of Silver Pride added:
“The Spark Builder and E-commerce software is ideal for an organisation such as the RSPCA. It will allow them to take control of their website and online marketing and we are pleased to have been able to help the charity.”
