The Extra Factor is an online talent show video website for the forthcoming theatre tour of the same name. The show is a parody of modern talent shows and features a cast of well known stars from stage and screen. A unique feature is that people can audition for the chance of actually appearing with the cast in the show on the night.
The web site handles the whole auditions process from video upload, user ratings, comments through to a celebrity judgement. Silver Pride Software is branching out! We are producing Wizard Postcodes (www.wizardpostcodes.co.uk) to bring you full postcode retrieval, address lookup, bank validation and postcode location services. We have sourced the full Royal Mail PAF (Post Address File) database of 27 million addresses to provide extremely cost efficient addressing solutions. Services also include mapping and analysis integration services to bring "find nearest store" type functionality and more advanced geographical analysis.
The website for Wizard Postcodes is a full Content Management System and has an integral accounts management system to control clients accounts and payments. As customer service is key a complete support and ticketing system is provided to track customer queries and support requests.
The web services are provided using the latest .Net 3.0 WCF (Windows Communication Framework) to enable webservices via SOAP and JSON allowing full integration into your systems as required. Example integration projects will be freely available in PHP, ASP.Net, Javascript with more appearing.

Silver Pride Software was commissioned to produce an advanced portal system mimicing many of the features of the new BBC portal site (see www.bbc.co.uk). The system allows the user to build their own personalised website from a wide collection of widgets bringing in data from the companies extensive sister software systems and external web feeds. The resulting system made full use of AJAX, web 2.0 technologies and sophisticated Javascript to seamlessly integrate both external and internal resources.
The site is very designed to be user centric and provides rich drag-drop to move widgets from one section of the screen to another. The whole system is written using ASP.Net version 3.5 with storage through SQL Server 2005.
